IPSA Education Quality Program (EQP)
IPSA is launching a new global framework to recognize and endorse high-quality pediatric sleep educational activities — giving clinicians, institutions, and learners a trusted, internationally recognized standard for excellence in the field.
What is the EQP?
The EQP provides a clear, transparent process for recognizing high-quality pediatric sleep educational activities on a global scale. Endorsed activities carry the IPSA endorsement mark — a signal to learners, clinicians, and institutions that the program meets internationally agreed standards of scientific quality, ethical integrity, and educational governance.
As the only global organization dedicated to pediatric sleep, IPSA is uniquely positioned to lead this work and ensure that quality education is accessible to practitioners worldwide — including in low- and middle-income countries.
IPSA endorsement of educational activities
IPSA endorsement is open to a wide range of educational activities, including:
- Paediatric sleep training course (introductory, intermediate, or advanced)
- Structured educational program or curriculum
- Conference, symposium, workshop, or scientific meeting
- Virtual, hybrid, or e-learning training module
- Learning resource (slide deck, recorded lecture, online tool, assessment material)

Governance
The EQP is governed by the IPSA Educational Standards Committee (ESC), operating under the authority of the IPSA Board. The ESC is chaired by Dr Imad Ahmed, IPSA Director, and is responsible for the review, quality assessment, and endorsement of educational activities. Reviewers are drawn from IPSA’s international membership, with representation across regions, disciplines, and language communities.
All ESC members and reviewers are required to declare conflicts of interest prior to any review. Reviewers with a significant conflict of interest will not participate in the assessment of that activity.
